News: The gallery is HERE!  Still working out some bugs, still need to get a menu item up and work on the restrictions.  Currently you can only upload a 1mb or less picture.  I'm leaving that setting for now so we don't overload the gallery to fast.  To access click here.

Hey all you awesome bug builders. I am a rookie at this and have already made the cardinal sin of buying an expensive rust bucket that is going to need some serious metal work done, but also wanted to know what you all recommend to dampen sound. Do any of the spray foams (insulation stuff) work? Is the roofing stuff I have read about the best? What do you all recommend?

Thanks,

Jim

I used this before:

http://www.lizardskin.com/pages/sound_control.php

And liked the results, the way it sprays on you could still put something like dynomat on top if you wanted to.  I researched the heck out of this topic, if you want advice, hit up a audiophile website, those guys spend $$$$ researching this stuff.

Or you could be like Josh W - skip the reading and throw sticks at it till it's as quiet as you want it to be  Grin
